El municipio de Imbert se encuentra en el centro de la provincia de Puerto Plata, y sus inicios están vinculados al desarrollo del sistema ferroviano del país durante el gobierno de Ulises Heareaux.
One of its attractions is the 27 Waterfalls of La Damajagua, along with its unique local cuisine, such as the famous Geos cheeses and Melao candies.
Another characteristic product of the area is petrified wood crafts. A group of local artisans collaboratively creates a wide variety of objects and designs inspired by Taíno craftsmanship, animals, and religious themes. The raw material can only be found in this region.
